“ I love this place and tell anyone who will listen about it. Any time we've ordered, the food has been fast, flavorful, and so delicious. We used to order on UberEats at least a couple times a month from our home in Pacific Palisades. The night we left (the night everyone left...) our family came here to eat. Being closer to this gem now has been a source of joy, it holds a special place in our hearts and bellies. ”

“ Our experience at Tu Madre was nothing less than fantastic! Everything from the fresh ingredients to the excellent service that Shane provided us, we will definitely find ourselves coming back for more and more! I suggest getting the red velvet churros, fried chicken tacos(my favorite), and the Korean bbq taco. Shoutout to our cashier Shane who was attentive and made sure our experience was memorable. Also, shoutout to the cooks who maintain a consistent quality of food. Literally some of the best fried chicken I've ever had and the Fresno Chili's add a nice kick (get extra hot honey sauce if you want it even saucier). One of my favorite places to go to as a UCLA student. ”

“ First overall, this place has amazing food with a wide variety. When you come here, look for shane and Maria. Their energy is amazing and are just the kindest souls you'll meet. Honestly, I was having a rough day but when I met shane he changed that for me and put a smile on my face. The service from the minute you walk in and the minute you walk out is exceptional! I highly recommended this place! ”

“ Hits the spot but not necessarily mind blowing. Fun american fusion tacos and burritos. The burritos here trumps the tacos any day. Burrito: * kbbq burrito - nice but the thick hard crunchy sour pickled radish from the salsa didn't really compliment the rest of the burrito or the meat * fried chicken burrito - delicious fried chicken but the "curry fried rice" inside was just "ok" because it didn't compliment the other ingredients. The honey is very subtle and you can hardly taste that it's sweet but it does add a nice much needed flair to the burrito. Tacos: * crispy fish taco - your straight forward crispy fish taco. Good crunch with it being juicy but the batter wasn't as good as the golden beer batter fish tacos you can get. The toppings was a nice fresh luscious take but it was not enough to justify paying for a premium taco price as opposed to their lower taco + meat price point. * kbbq taco - average the meet was kind of dry and it was just meat instead of with the toppings. Would not get it again. Sides: * tater tots - Do NOT get the tater tots (secret menu). They're overly fried and not enough potato and a bit of a let down even though they top it with cojita cheese. * churro - your straightforward basic churro. Good if you have a sweet tooth but nothing special. ”

“ One of my favorite and most visited lunch spots. I mainly come because of the food taste and quality, but I also love their large menu that also has a very large vegan section. I myself am not vegan but eat with others who are so it's nice that we can both find something that we enjoy. Service is always really fast and the portion sizes are really large, but not too large. It's very small on the inside so we usually eat at one of the tables outside, otherwise your best bet will be eating at the counter inside. They have a small parking lot attached but it's $5 to park, however it's easy to find metered street parking right out front or free street parking in the neighborhood west of Tu Madre. I usually order the Carne Asada bowl with half rice and half crispy kale because it's my favorite of the options but today I tried the Crispy Fish Bowl and loved it as well. The crispy kale is such a great addition and pouring their homemade salsa on top is a great finish. I have also tried their guacamole and love that as well. Overall a great taco and bowl spot with an extensive regular and vegan menu. I plan to be back many times in the future. ”

“ The food is really good but the parking is so bad it deters me from returning. The parking lot is small and compact and street parking is limited. It was probably some old converted lot from the 1950s that wasn't meant to be a parking lot. Anyway, you order from a counter outside and there's a very small dining room inside. My favorite taco was the crispy shrimp followed by the pastrami. I was a little disappointed they didn't have the olives anymore but the tacos were amazing. It felt very unique and high quality compared to other places. Sadly the parking left much to be desired. That's the only reason I wouldn't come back. Also, there was broken glass in the parking lot! So not only is your car squeezed like a sardine it's not even safe from thieves! ”
